In order to help every congregation to be involved in missions, a Council of Cooperation has been set up consisting of representatives from the Church and seven mission organizations.
The majority of the congregations in SD are linked to global mission through a partnership with mission organizations, and projects in cooperation with churches abroad.
Christian education for children and youth, ages 0-18 years, is a priority. Due to its status as the national church, the Norwegian government supports the Church of Norway in this task. International diakonia is also a priority.
